SALOON RATING

To enable candidates holding Degree / Diploma certificate in Catering subjects or Hotel Management undergo an orientation course for employment on Merchant Ships.

  • The candidates should have passed 10th or 12th Standard exam from a recognized board with minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.

  • The candidate should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in English language at 10th or 12th standard examination from a recognized board/University.

  • A Degree or Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, or Hotel Management & Catering Technology, or Catering or Culinary Arts or Hospitality and Tourism, of minimum six months duration from an Institution duly recognized by the State Boards / UGC approved University or approved by the National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMC) or AICTE

  • Age Limit: 18 to 28 years as on the date of commencement of the course

  • Physical Standards: Medical fitness certificate from DG Approved doctor under M.S (Medical Examination) Rule 2000 as amended.
